175g Self-raising Flour
3 Medium Eggs
Heat oven to 180c / 350f / gas 4.
Line two 7″ cake tins with baking parchment.
Cream the butter and sugar together.
Beat in the eggs.
Stir in the syrup of your choice.
Fold in the flour.
Divide the mixture between the two tins.
Bake for 20 – 25min.
Leave to cool, then sandwich cake together with whipped cream.
